It’s a 90’s dream come true – or, at least, the possibility of the dream happening is here.
On Tuesday night, pop singer Christina Aguilera was a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel Show where they talked about the effects of social media when it comes to the entertainment business. Kimmel opened up the conversation asking Aguilera whether she believes or not that things would’ve been different back in her debut days if social media would’ve been a thing.
The singer answered that she came out from the era when privacy was considered a good thing but quickly came to admit that she does find some positive sides when it comes to social media.
“You can use it to your advantage and it’s a way to connect with your fans. […] And it squashes beefs too. They [women & people] come together now,” she said.
She followed by saying that she would’ve loved to use it to squash some of her own misinterpreted beef before going to interview back in the days. Aguilera here is referencing to her “beef” that the media invented between her and fellow artist Britney Spears.
“If we had social media back then we probably would’ve done a song together.”
