I mean, what else were you thinking of doing? Going outside and play with leaves? Come on!

One of the best part of the fall season is to turn on your TV or your laptop and do some good old streaming of some new spooky shows or movies. Now, unfortunately – Stranger Things’s third season isn’t ready yet, but this doesn’t stop Netflix from releasing creepy weird shows and movies. Here’s my pick for a spooky-worthy binge-watching October session.

Apostle

Official synopsis: The year is 1905. Thomas Richardson travels to a remote island to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a mysterious religious cult demanding a ransom for her safe return. It soon becomes clear that the cult will rue the day it baited this man, as he digs deeper and deeper into the secrets and lies upon which the commune is built.

With who? Dan Stevens, Michael Sheen and Lucy Boynton

My thoughts? Ok well this looks most disgusting that scary – so, definitely creepy. The violin music that follow the trailer probably makes it 10 times more spooky than it should be but then again, this is a story about a religious intense cult. Cults are scary and especially and these costumes are not helping their creepiness. I will definitely watch it but I am ready to hide under a blanket for the rest of the month.

The Haunting of Hill House

Official synopsis:The Haunting of Hill House is a modern re-imagining of the iconic novel, about 5 siblings who grew up in the most famous haunted house in America.

With who? Michel Huisman, Carla Guginoi.

My thoughts? I’m not sure if I completely get the trailer but one thing I know is that the shots look really beautiful. I really like how they put it all together and how the music arrangement as well. I’m excited to see what this series really all about and understand the story a bit more.

Malevolent

Official Synopsis: Brother and sister team Angela (Florence Pugh) and Jackson (Ben Lloyd-Hughes) are nothing more than scam artists. Preying on the grief stricken and the vulnerable, they convince the bereaved that Angela has the ability to contact the dead. It’s a simple con, until Mrs. Green (Celia Imrie) summons the pair to her home — the orphanage that was once stage to a string of murders of young girls — and Angela grows less and less certain of what’s actually real. The fake paranormal investigators suffer the ultimate reality check when they are confronted by the true horrors and terrifying past that lie hidden within the haunted orphanage.

With who? Florence Pugh, Celia Imrie, Ben Lloyd-Hugues

My thoughts? Well this one looks like a legit scary movie that I would watch simply because it gives me some vibes from the TV Show Supernatural, except that in this case, Dean and Sam just don’t show up and Angela and Jackson are gonna have to figure this whole thing out themselves.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Official Synopsis: Sabrina Spellman must reconcile her dual nature as a half-witch, half-mortal while fighting the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.

With who? Kiernan Shipka, Michelle Gomez, Ross Lynch

My thoughts? If you don’t know my thoughts on this already well here they are AGAIN! OMG I’M SO EXCITED FOR THIS ONE! This is not gonna be your usual teenage witch story – this is straight up gonna be the devil’s child rising up.
