I’ve been waiting for this for the whole summer and here it is finally – and it’s so good!
The trailer starts off with Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) and Harvey (Ross Lynch) laughing and hugging each other as the gentleman walks the teenage witch back to her very creepy house. Well, it really only stays creepy for 5 seconds, since Sabrina uses her magic once she gets in to turn on the lights and play some of her old school banging music.
Right off the few minutes, we can see that this version of the character is a very cheery one who seems very comfortable and happy with her life.
Then, Shipka start narrating the trailer introducing us to the town of Greendale and its infamous half-witch and half-mortal teenager who seems to have a perfectly balanced and happy life. Bu of course, that’s only until her 16th birthday when she must choose between staying mortal or becoming a faithful saviour to the Dark Lord, aka Satan.
The trailer follows to the ritual where Sabrina is supposed to leave her mortal life behind but until the very last moment she backs out and runs away in the forest.
We are then introduced to Madam Satan, the Weird Sisters, Aunt Hilda and Zelda and so many more.
See it for yourself below before I give you all of the video’s spoilers:
I personally thought the trailer was fantastic (well, I might be a little bias because I live for these type of shows) but I must admit that I was first a bit nervous about the fact that Shipka was going to take on the role of Sabrina but honestly, I’m really enjoying what I’m seeing so far and I’m so excited for the actual series to come out.
Until then, I will watch it over and over again.
