It’s no secret, I love Halloween and anything that has a connection to the fun side of the occult. That’s why I had such a fun time going and checking out the Halloween market called ‘Bazaar of the Bizarre’ which featured over 30 vendors!
The event was open from 11 am to 7 pm today and took place at the Spice Factory in Hamilton. All the vendors had some really amazing things to offer but I did have some that really caught my eyes and wanted to share with you all.
1. Gabrielle Neveu’s Art
Toronto based, Neveu’s work really caught my attention with its spooky and mysterious art. She mentioned to me that she really loves fairy tales and anything that involves nature which is widely reflected in her work.
I decided to get the image with the girl sitting on a tree full of rage. I first thought she actually represented Mother Earth taken with fury towards humans due to how they treat the planet. I don’t know for you guys but I almost see her as a part of the tree which is why it made me think she was the character I believed she was.
Check out Neveu’s other work on her Etsy shop here!
2. Sick on Sin Art
This cute little enterprise creates cool t-shirts and other accessories such as pins, magnets and key chains with fun original designs. Unicorns, sloths and raccoons are just a few of the images that I found at their table. Of course, my heart decided to take the avocado magnet that I will give to my cousin who’s eats avocados every day. I’m not kidding, he will eat avocado at every lunch whenever he can – he loves it!
Check out their other designs and products on their website here!
3. Brain Lag
Brain Lag is a publisher of fantasy and science fiction novels based in the GTA (Milton, Ontario to be precise). I read some of the synopsis from the books presented there but I couldn’t get myself to choose one, although Enduring Chaos by Catherine Fitzsimmons seemed pretty interesting! I really love the idea that they publish and support local writers from the GTA, that’s really awesome!
So that was my little discoveries of the day, I hope you guys enjoyed it and will be checking these three companies out in the next few days just in time for something Halloween-esque!
