A Petition To Move Halloween On Last Saturday of October

1:25 pm | |

Parents celebrating Halloween are looking for a safer and stress-free Halloween when signing this petition.

Created three months ago by the Halloween & Costume Association, the petition asks to change the Halloween celebration of the 31st of October to simply the last Saturday of the month.

The main reason that the association is looking to change the date is to have a full day of celebration rather than “cram it into two rushed evening weekday hours” after school and work.

They believe that parents will be able to enjoy the holiday more and that kids will have all of Sunday to enjoy their candies and come back down from their sugar high.

So far, 27,226 people have signed with an updated goal to have the petition with 35,000 signature.

If you want to participate, check out the petition here.

What do you think of the association’s goal? Do you think it’s fair?
