‘Despicable Me’ Director To Take On ‘Shrek’ Reboot

That’s right, friends.

According to Variety, Chris Meledandri, the man behind ‘Despicable Me’ and ‘Minions’ will not only be rebooting ‘Shrek’ but also the movie’s spin-off ‘Puss N’ Boots.’

Universal Pictures has already ordered a new revamp to the story now that the studio’s parent company, Comcast, owns DreamWorks Animation after buying it for few billion of dollars. No big deal. 

It’s still unclear how the whole approach will take place but Meledandri said that he wants to keep the original voice cast of the original Shrek (Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas).

Would be interested to see a ‘Shrek’ reboot?
