Everything to know about the Charmed Reboot

After years of debate and questioning on whether or not the CW would relaunch Charmed, the network finally announced that the show will be getting a reboot this Fall.

Following the release of the trailer a few weeks ago, we finally got some more information on the new show, the cast and the story.

The reboot will be introducing Melonie Diaz, Sarah Jeffery and Madeleine Mantock as sisters Mel, Maggie and Macy Vera.

The story will be similar to the original one that ran from 1998 to 2006 – following their mother’s death, three sisters in their 20’s learning about their family’s ancestry all while dealing with their new powers.

The original cast will not be part of the reboot as this is a completely independent story from the original – the only things that links both shows are the similar name and story line.

You can watch the trailer below:

The show will air this Fall on Sunday at 9 PM after Supergirl.

Are you planning on watching the show? Were you a fan of the original one?

Making the best of your Montreal-Toronto road trip!

For some of you who may not know, I’m originally from Montreal and moved to Mississauga (20 minutes outside of Toronto) almost a year ago. It’s been a really awesome year and probably the most growing one yet for me – but there’s been a lot of driving. And when I say a lot, I mean a lot.

But, after doing the route for what I imagine must be at least 20 times, the 401 and I are tight af. We’re best friends. Bros. We got each other’s back.

So anyways, whether you have some family in Montreal or Toronto or both and like to go visit them sometimes during the year, here’s how you should plan your road trip.

Create a killer playlist

I mean, this is the golden rule to any road trip really but it’s so important to think about it though. Having a sick playlist to listen to during the drive is the number one requirement to have a great time in the car while you drive. I mean, it’s possible to make the trip without it and listen to the radio but you gotta be ready to switch stations every few minutes to get a good songunless you’re lucky to get a constant good channel for at least 20 minutes – now if you get that you definitely hit the jackpot.

So yeah, make sure your phone is charged, Spotify playlist downloaded if you’re a premium little bish like me or simply just download bunch of songs on your phone.

My playlist usually consists of classic rock bangers, Disney music, good old emo and 2000s pop with a little bit of recent Top 40.

If you leave from Ontario, stop at the first OnRoute

THEY HAVE A STARBUCKS! Now, I know this isn’t the most Canadian thing but I do love my Starbucks coffee or chocolate chip frap to start the long drive when I leave from the GTA.

If you leave from Quebec, also stop at the first OnRoute

GAS IS CHEAPER THERE! The moment you cross the border and arrive in Ontario, there’s an OnRoute and the gas station there has usually better deals than Quebec ones.

Also, while we’re speaking about gas, I recommend to stop by the Lancaster exit to fill up gas before entering Quebec for the same reasons that gas is cheaper there.

Make sure to stop at the Big Apple Pie Factory

This one is a no brainer. You don’t have to like pies or cheesecakes even, cause they have a really cool chocolate and and candies factory which I personally adore. It’s huge and it’s just cool to see other travelers like you being excited to be at the famous Big Apple. It’s just a nice little break from the trip a little after Kingston towards Toronto.

Lunch time? Junk food time.

I mean, is there any other way to go through five hours of driving than stopping at your favourite fast food place? My personal fave is whichever Burger King that one of the OnRoute offers or a random McDonalds.

Dress in sweats

My last tip to enjoy the drive is the most obvious one: wear sweatpants/leggings with a comfy t-shirt or sweatshirt. You don’t want to feel stuck in jeans or in a dress while driving. You wanna feel chill and relaxed!

I think that’s pretty much it guys. That’s how I do my Toronto-Montreal roadtrip. And I must say, it’s a lot of fun. I mean, maybe it’s because I enjoy the drive but I truly believe that this drive is not the end of the world even though it sounds like a long one.

Do you drive a lot? What’s your most frequent road trip that you do and know by heart? Drop a comment below!

The best food to feed your body – ACCORDING TO ME (and a bit of science)

I try to eat relatively healthy. I mean, I still love to eat hamburgers, ice cream and all the bad stuff that you can possibly put in your body.

You guys already know, I drink my bulletproof coffee in the morning and therefore I don’t eat breakfast (which apparently is the most important meal of the day) […] Well friends, let me tell you what I think is the most important meal of the day.

It’s lunch.

Lunch is SO important. And I’m no scientist, but I believe that eating something super healthy in the middle of the day will increase your energy and productivity.

At least, it does the trick for me.

And so, you must wonder – what do I eat during the day? What is the fuel I put in my body to increase my mental energy?

Well friends..

Are you ready?

Absolutely ready to know my secret?

Ok here it is…

This lunch fills you up with just the right amount of proteins, fats and deliciousness that you need for the day.

Sardines are not the most tasty food to have for lunch but the health benefits are huge. They contain energy, proteins, fats, calcium, iron and many more important nutritional value for your body. It’s also rich in omega-3 fatty acid, which help preventing heart diseases. It reduces risks of macular degeneration, basically it helps taking care of your eyesight. It helps out with strong bones, enhances a healthy immune system, boosts your skin care and so much more.

This is all thanks to my cousin Nate who has been following a very healthy lifestyle for the last five years or so and shared with me his keto/paleo secrets. Now you see, I used to follow a strict keto diet but the foods I would eat were not the right ones for me I think. I would choose food that I loved already, for example eggs or cheese or meat, and eat them everyday.

And maybe the fact that I started keto with something I loved was the problem and was the reason I failed at it?

Because, you see, I didn’t like sardines mashed with avocados at first – but I didn’t hate it. I started eating it because I knew it was good for me seeing how productive my cousin is everyday. And now? I actually enjoy eating it. Not for the taste, but because I’m excited about the aftermath of it. It’s almost when someone smokes weed because they want to be high? Well I love the feeling after eating sardines and avocado (avosardines for short).

I strongly recommend everyone to eat the avosardines because the effects for me are the same as drinking my bulletproof coffee – it enhances my productivity and my mental energy, which I’m obsessed with and craving for every day now.

Have you ever tried this lunch? What is your go to lunch?
